She Depleted my abilities
And Nibbled my opportunities.
She Dwelled on my insecurities
Then Burrowed through my stabilities.
She Accentuated my minute liability
And played with my culpability.
Her name was Anxiety.
Magic without a wand
Magic isn’t only about sparkles coming out of a wand and transfiguring something or making something vanish. Indeed when someone pulls off a magic trick, the most commonly heard exclamations are “how did you do that?” “How did that happen?” “No, that just can’t be!!” all the time appreciating the trick. Its about how you do the unexpected – the exact opposite of what you would have done if you were to get carried away. Carried away by ego, anger, selfishness, rumours or any other negative vibes.
